Facts to consider regarding the Skykomish SD's capital levy on the November 2023 ballot
The public taxpayer-funded voters' pamphlet was supposed to have pro and con arguments. It only has a pro statement for this measure. By state statute, school districts are tasked with finding and selecting pro committee members and con committee members (up to 3 on each committee) for their own measures. This is clearly a conflict of interest. Districts readily find pro committee members (often paid staff) but rarely find a single con committee member. A policy change is needed.
